Curriculum
The philosophy and literacy of Liberal Arts General Education is to develop diversified courses based on Fundamental General Education. The three interdisciplinary courses are Humanities and Arts, Social Science and Natural Science and Technology.
To develop students’ strong work ethic and attitude in addition to interpersonal communication skills and social concern, the Center also offers a graduation threshold of “Service Learning”. It provides students not only with diversified courses for learning but also trains them to meet the needs of society and develop a sentiment of social concern and altruism.
Liberal Education Curriculum
Course regulations:
Four-year college education in technology day school students are required to take at least one course in each of the three interdisciplinary courses and acquire at least 10 credits in total before graduation. Four-year college education in technology students of Continuing Education are required to take two different interdisciplinary courses and acquire at least four credits in total before graduation.
Course literacy:
The literacy of Liberal Arts General Education courses focuses on cultivating students with humanistic spirit and molding them into well-rounded individuals. The courses are divided into Humanities and Arts, Social Science, and Natural Science and Technology. The contents of courses include subjectivity and diversity of knowledge in various fields. It also values consilience with other fields. The objective of courses is set according to its attributes and trains students’ critical thinking, innovation and perception abilities, reading comprehension, verbal communication and creative writing abilities.

Service Learning
Service Learning Graduation Threshold is designed based on the premise of continuing the Chin-Yi spirit and valuing an all-around education. Service learning is required for students enrolling in a four-year technical college in the day division from 2008 to 2021 (inclusive). This course teaches students to invest effort themselves to serve others in their daily lives. Students learn by doing. After graduating, it is expected that our students can work with a clear, responsible attitude, contributing their knowledge to serve society.
(1) According to the Graduation Threshold Regulations, four-year college education in technology day school students are required to complete 54 hours before graduation.
(2) Students can participate in the services recognized by NCUT according to their preferences or interests and record their hours. After recording 54 credit hours, the course is completed.
